RETURN POLICY
The Backyard Bird Company stands behind all of its products with a 30 day, no questions asked, guarantee. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason, please return it for a refund of the purchase price within 30 days of delivery. Shipping charges are non-refundable. Costs to ship returns back to The Backyard Bird Company are soley the responsibility of the customer. All items must be unused and returned in their original packaging and be in good resalable condition. Items cannot be altered in any way. If an item needs to be returned, please call us at 941-505-2400 for an RMA number. The RMA number must be included with the returned item or the return will be considered unauthorized. You will need to provide us with your name, order number and name of item being returned. We will issue a credit upon receipt of the item. If an item is used, damaged or not in the original packaging, we retain the right to issue a partial refund or store credit. We also retain the right to refuse acceptance of unauthorized returns and, at our discretion, to offer a store credit in place of a monetary refund.
WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU INSURE YOUR PACKAGE IF YOU ARE RETURNING IT VIA THE US POSTAL SERVICE. DAMAGE INCURRED DURING THE RETURN SHIPMENT BACK TO US WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER AND WILL RESULT IN A LESSER OR VOIDED CREDIT.

FREE SHIPPING: Occasionally, we offer free shipping promotions. If you place an order during one of these promotions, be aware that free shipping applies only to standard ground shipping to one address within the contiguous 48 United States. No express or expedited shipping. No substitutions or transfers. The coupon code must be entered at the time of checkout for savings to apply. Cannot be combined with any other coupon or promotion. Only one coupon code may be used per order. If your order fails to meet these qualifications for free shipping, regular shipping charges will be added back into your order after the order has been placed.
If you return an item from an order that utilized the free shipping promotion, the original shipping charge will be deducted from your refund total. If the order incurred an oversized shipping surcharge as well, that fee is also non-refundable. By using the free shipping coupon, you agree to the terms and conditions provided here.
PLEASE NOTE: A few of our products ship directly from various warehouses and distributors. Please be sure to ship the merchandise directly back to us. If the merchandise is returned to the warehouse or distributor, a 20% re-stocking fee will be deducted from your refund.
REPORTING DAMAGED OR MISSING MERCHANDISE
If you have received an item that was damaged, please call us at 941-505-2400. We will need to know what type of damage was incurred. We will also need to know the condition of the shipping box. This will help us determine if the item was damaged during shipping. We will instruct you as to what needs to be done with the damaged item. Before reporting missing items, please be sure to remove all of the packing material and open all boxes completely to check for items, especially small ones that might be overlooked. Damaged and missing merchandise must be reported to us within 5 business days from receipt of order |
