Thirty miles off Cape Code lies Nantucket Island and at the eastern end you'll find the Village of Siasconset, the inspiraton for our 'Sconset Cottage birdhouse. Avian visitors will find two nest boxes, one on each side, with an inner divider. Constructed of exterior grade ply-board and topped with pine shingles, this classic beach house style has a removable back wall, drainage, ventilation and 1 1/4" openings to allow wrens, finches, chickadees, nuthatches and titmice to nest. To help preserve the paint, the manufacturer recommends applying a non-yellowing polyurethane finish.
