We use UPS Ground, FedEx Home Delivery, and the US Postal Service for our shipping needs. Shipping rates are as stated above for ground service within the 48 contiguous United States. Shipping charges to addresses in Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, will be determined using real-time rates based on weight and shipping Zip Code. *We offer free ground shipping on orders of $75 or more to addresses within the contiguous United States only. In order to qualify for free shipping, you must enter the coupon code FREESHIP75 during checkout. FREESHIP75 cannot be combined with any other coupon promotion unless otherwise stated.

Shipping charges are not refundable. Should you return an item, you will be refunded the cost of the item only, not the shipping charges incurred. If you return an item that was part of an order that shipped for free, the regular shipping cost for this item will be deducted from your credit.

Please be sure that the shipping address you provide is correct. If UPS or FedEx has to make an address correction for Ground service, there will be a $17.00 fee incurred. Shipping corrections on expedited service are a $17.00 fee. Please note: these are the charges set by UPS, not by The Backyard Bird Company.

If you do not have mail delivery service from the United States Postal Service to your shipping address, it is your responsibility to inform us.

All in-stock items are usually shipped within 24 business hours. You will be notified if any of the items that you ordered are out-of-stock. Out-of-stock merchandise is usually available for shipping within 2 weeks. UPS Ground and FedEx Home Delivery usually arrive within 3-5 business days. USPS Priority Mail usually delivers within 2-3 business days. USPS First Class Mail delivers within 3-5 business days.
